Cox Boosts Business Data Speeds

Following on the heels of its residential counterparts, Cox Communications Inc.’s Cox Business unit has increased the download speeds of its high-speed-access business to six megabits per second from 1.5 mbps and the upstream speeds to 1 mbps from 384 kilobits per second.

Cox offers businesses six levels of services, now ranging from 768 kbps downstream to the new 6 mbps downstream. It has also added a fully symmetrical 1.5-mbps upstream and downstream service.

The new speeds are backed by a new marketing campaign designed to drive new users to Cox's network.
