Cox gooses business class speeds

Cox Communications has dialed up the speeds offered to its commercial data customers.

Among the changes, Cox has upgraded its big tier to 6 Mbps down/1 Mbps up. Cox is also offering a symmetrical 1.5 Mbps service. On the lower end, Cox now offers a 786 kbps/256 kbps tier, beefed up from 256 kbps symmetrical.

Other business data tiers include 1.5 Mbps/384 kbps, 3 Mbps/512 kbps, and 4 Mbps/768 kbps.

Cox bowed a new range of consumer cable modem service tiers earlier this month.
